I've been thinking how to get my family to help me, but not make me crazy when I want to eat something I shouldn't be. Ever have that happen? You know sometimes you just got to have something yummy! It's just that we tend to let it happen to often.
I'm trying to get Steve to workout with me, but he only really wants to ride bikes. I've never been terribly comfortable on a bike seat and with my bone spur on my shoulder, I think biking is out. Hope says she wants to do a regular aerobics class, maybe she and I can sign up somewhere and do that. But I don't think once a week will do it for me. So I'm down to my faithful Dog Nari, she and I walk/run down at the lake when ever I can get my lazy butt down there.
Anyone want to start a exercising group? Get together and walk, do some sit-ups, etc...???
The other thing I'd love to discuss is good food, easy to make, and food that everyone enjoys eating. Let's throw out ideas for each other. I know I get in to a rut, make the same things over and over again. I'd love easy, yummy, good for you recipes.

Tough Beginning! The dreaded photo op!
Okay, first thing first, I had Steve take pictures of me in a tight shirt and shorts. That was hard, it became apparent right away I have been in denial for sometime. It is killing me to have to post them right here for all to see!!!
Next, I weighed myself, ah...umm...yeah... do I have to say? Honesty!! Okay, I weighed in at a whopping 164, ouch! I knew I should never have taken the scale out of my bathroom! But now everyone knows. It's all down hill form here, right?
Then I went and got my sewing measurement tape and started measuring the bod!
Neck -12"
Arms - 12.75
Breast - 41.50
Waist - 35
Tummy - 40.5
Butt - 41.5
Thigh - 23
No wonder I just sort of look like a tube, not much variation in the sizes.
My plan is to work really hard on taking the fat off the areas that don't need it and build up muscles where I do! So, how am I going to do this? First cut out calories, I'm not going to do anything drastic, but those mid-morning snacks and late afternoon snacks have got to be either removed or a better food choice to replace the junk food.
I want to post each day what I ate the day before, it might be a bit of a bore for some of you, but it will allow me to see where I'm cheating and hopefully some of you will join me in this and post your own stats and what your doing to get in shape.
It's 4pm and I'm a bit hungry, this is the hard time of day for me, I like to snack as I prepare dinner, so please when you think of me, send up a little prayer for me!
Till tomorrow, keep the Lord close!

I am in!!!! I tried to start this morning as well. Don and I went to LA Fitness and I walked on the walker for 30 minutes. I thought I would die as it has been so long. I am trying Isagenix which is a cleaning diet. I did it in November and lost 6-7 pounds and felt super. So I thought I would do 30 days again since I have the product.
If anyone wants some...let me know and I will sign you up. It is expensive (about $350 with shipping) but it is 30 days worth and I saved that much money not eating out and not going to starbucks. It is two shakes (satisfying) a day and one lean meal. I kind of liked it and my friends that signed up with me did much better as they exercised a bit too. One friend lost 15 lbs the first month.
After my two shakes today and exercise I worked in the garden for two hours. They I craved pop corn with real butter on it.... I threw away all the treats left..cookies and candies. So..tonight I made a great salad with meat on it. I like the idea of the blog to encourage each other.
My daughter said there is a yoga class tuesday and Thursdays from 3:l5 to 4:15 at Valley school and the cost is $50 for 3 months I think.
Anyone want to join that??? I love to walk if anyone is up for that.

Yeah! I'm so glad you got started too. I walked today wit LaVonne and Devonay Olsen, we walked for about an hour and half, around Lake Hodges. I think if you walk out doors and with a friend to talk with, it is easier than on a tred-mill. We are planning to start walking regularly, want to join us? Call me!
The Yoga class sound interesting, I'd like to see what kind of Yoga, some times they get to weird in the new age spiritual stuff for me.
